It's been awhile

Okay so It's been over a month. So bare with me! I'm sure I'll forget a bunch and have to add other posts later but oh well...

So baby had her first taste of chocolate. Pappy gave her a chocolate bar (wrapped) to "play with" and of course she bit it (duh) so then I had to let her have some. You'll see pics when I get them up.. its truly priceless.

She has been holding her own sippy cup for about a month and a half or so now. She's really good with it. We use the NUK kind with the handles as per suggestion by Miss Liisa (<333). Everyone is so shocked that she can do it at her age but they say those cups are for kids 6m+..so we started a little before she was 6months and she just looooves her cup! I also realized just last week that she knows how to drink from a regular straw.

She was dedicated on August 10. The service was beautiful. Last minute her Godparents couldn't make it.. don't quite know what to make of that...hopefully all is well with them. Nevertheless, it was such an important day for us. God is in complete control of our lives and I am and will continue to do my best to raise her according to the Word of God.

Let's see... she has tried her hands (and feet) and crawling. She has her own special way of moving forward which is quite hilarious. It involves leaning and shaking her leg and rolling back onto her tummy then magically she has moved forward. Oh it's so fun to watch. Putting stuff just out of reach on front of her and watching her go for it...getting all frustrated. It's so cute!

She is also sitting up on her own very well.. still leans but is getting better. She has graduated to the grown up tub because she's so long she's grown out of her baby tub. They say its a grow-with-me tub that she can use til she's a toddler but I find that not to be so true. It's too confining...she likes to splash around and lay on her tummy (all with my help of course). So now we use the grown up tub and she LOVES it.

She is still teething...nothing came through yet but she is biting like crazy! Oh yeah..duh... she's eating EVERYTHING. Gerber meat sticks and gerber graduate snacks (which are meant for TODDLERS!) and OFF OF MOMMY'S PLATE (no meal will ever be my own). It's awesome...she's pretty advanced in a lot of areas which is cool. It's so weird that she has two lunch boxes now and I have to have at least one with me every time we leave the house!!

Recently she's started the whole "independent" thing... where she doesn't want me to hold her til\she falls asleep...she fusses til i put her in her crib and turn her Baby Einstein turtle on then she watches it and/or plays herself to sleep. My separation anxiety is probably far worse than hers. But she still likes me right there if other ppl are around or holding her..which I never mind. She's getting so big..she'll be 7 months old in a few days.. shortly after my birthday (woo-hoo 22!).

We switched what diapers we use. We now use gdiapers. THEY ARE AMAZING! They are like a million times more biodegradable than normal diapers. Normal dipes take about 5 years... g's take about 50-100 days. Seriously, if you want to know more ask me... around here they are even slightly cheaper than regular dipes and the sizing isnt as frustrating as it is with normal dipes. Just ask me, I'll explain. So we are also looking into some cloth dipes and making our own dipes and inserts. FUN FUN FUN!

We went to a few fairs. West End had a circus which Justice-kymorah LOVED. She liked watching the monkey just sit there and do pretty much nothing. She liked the non-professional hula-hoop girl and she really liked the crazy circus guy in that hamster wheel type thing that goes around in the air. He was crazy. Oh and the dirtbikes in the cage. I, myself, enjoyed the circus because I have never been to one.. so even this stupid little west end business. Oh and mommy got her fried oreos which were AMAZING!

So a little about me quick. I switched my schooling to Daycare Specialist..so by early '09 I'll be opening my own. It teaches how to run a daycare as well as all areas of child development. I'm actually really excited about this because it has to do with kids which is what I really wanted to make a career out of and I already have a lot of different background experience so that helps. So if you need childcare, hit me up... I'm good. I also recently started talking to a Christian guy. It's what I asked God for so we'll so what comes of it. Maybe God put us back in each other's lives for this reason or maybe just to be friends. We'll have to see...after all, it's God's plan not mine. I'm just trying to do what He wants and expects of me..... and then some.

I'll post pics soon. I gotta get them all on the comp and what not.
